September WAKE UP! Newport – Coast Community College District Chancellor

Dr. John Weispfenning is the Chancellor of the Coast Community College District. As one of the largest multi-college districts in the state of California, the Coast District includes Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, Golden West College in Huntington Beach, and Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. Dr. Weispfenning formerly served as the President of Santiago Canyon College in Orange, and Vice President of Instruction at Orange Coast College. He is the author of two dozen plus scholarly publications and papers related to working with media organizations, processes, and content. Dr. Weispfenning has been noted for his published work in the Journal of Communication, Mass Communication Quarterly, and Mass Comm Review and brings his experience as a journalist and broadcaster with radio stations throughout the Midwest to the Coast District.
