Featuring Guest Speaker

Harley Rouda

Congressman, 48th District

Harley Rouda was elected to Congress in 2018 after a historic campaign in Orange County, California. It was the very first political campaign of his life.

As a successful businessman, husband, father and patriot, Harley ran for elected office to make politics and policymaking work again for families in Orange County and across the nation.

As a Freshman member in Congress, Harley is dedicated to working with Democrats and Republicans on bipartisan legislation that makes a difference in people’s lives — legislation that makes his community, and his country, healthier, safer, more sustainable and more prosperous in the 21st Century.

Harley believes that by working together, by embracing patriotic purpose, and by espousing common sense and values, our nation can tackle the critical challenges of addressing climate change, of rebuilding a crumbling infrastructure, of confronting homelessness and protecting Social Security and Medicare.

Harley believes that we can make health care and prescription drugs available and affordable for all; we can make a world class college education attainable for every young person; we can forge an economy that gives everyone their chance to share in the American Dream.

The values of hard work and honesty drive Harley as he pursues this crucial and principled work in Congress. Harley learned these values in his career as a leader dedicated to growing businesses and driven to creating and supporting thousands of jobs.

Community service has also been a core part of Harley’s adult life. He has spent decades fighting homelessness and domestic violence; working with Human Rights Watch; supporting education for the underserved and underrepresented, as well as supporting access to higher education; saving military jobs; and working with civic organizations to drive economic development.

Harley’s dedication to serving his community and his country has reached its highest expression with his election to the People’s House. Harley holds a MBA from The Ohio State University, and a J.D. from Capital University Law School. Harley lives in Laguna Beach, California and is married to award-winning author, Kaira Sturdivant Rouda. They have four children who constantly inspire them.

Harley is a frequent guest on Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and other news outlets who welcome his commonsense approach to solving issues.
