California represents one of the world’s largest economies all on its own. Indeed, the state is already home to one of the most robust medical marijuana markets in the world. If cannabis is legalized, it will have a dramatic effect across the country. There are presently a half dozen bills circulating in Sacramento relating to the regulation of marijuana. Recent polling conducted in California shows that Californians already support marijuana legalization by a fairly wide margin. Over the next two years, as Oregon, Alaska and D.C. all rack up tax revenues, that margin could easily widen. California’s Democratic party has already added it to their platform for the next election cycle. Ron S.
