November 8, 2016 marked a historic election for a number of reasons, including passage of Proposition 64 (known as “The Adult Use of Marijuana Act”), which legalizes the recreational use of marijuana for adults 21 years of age and older.
Ron S. Brand, a Shareholder at Jackson Tidus, A Law Corporation, will give an overview of Proposition 64 and discuss the legal issues that employers and employee face in light of Proposition 64’s passage.
What you will Learn…
- Can employers can still maintain a zero-tolerance policy and a drug-free workplace?
- What about employment related drug testing and the implications of positive tests?
- Do employers have a duty to accommodate medical marijuana use?
