May Marine Committee Meeting- Wooden Boat Festival presented by Balboa Yacht Club

The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce Marine Committee meets once a month to provide information and education on all  topics that are “marine oriented”. The meetings are open to the public and will be held at 5:30 pm the 1st Tuesday of the month at the Marina Park located on Newport Harbor in Newport Beach.

In just six years, the Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival, presented by Balboa Yacht Club, has grown into a must-see event for residents and tourists alike. In partnership with the City of Newport Beach, the festival is truly a ‘Concours d’Elegance’ of yachting, showcasing the most diverse and valuable collection of wooden boats in California. Open to the public, has been recognized as the official “Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival Weekend” by the Orange County Board of Supervisors in perpetuity.

The vision of its founder, the late Ralph Rodheim, was to become a legacy event with national stature, and today it is recognized as such.
