 e. In partnership with the City of Newport Beach\, the festival is truly a
  ‘Concours d’Elegance’ of yachting\, showcasing the most diverse and
  valuable collection of wooden boats in California. Open to the public\, h
 as been recognized as the official “Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival W
 eekend” by the Orange County Board of Supervisors in perpetuity.\n\nThe 
 vision of its founder\, the late Ralph Rodheim\, was to become a legacy ev
 ent with national stature\, and today it is recognized as such. The Festiv
 al salutes the passion\, time and effort the owners have put into their v
 essels to preserve the heritage and timelessness of seafaring adventure.
