Christopher Schwarz
- Associate Professor, Finance, UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business

Christopher Schwarz is an Associate Professor of Finance at UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business as well as the Faculty Director for the Center for Investment and Wealth Management. During his time at UCI, he has been published in all leading academic and practitioner finance journals. His research has also been cited by the New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times and provided a number of economic forecasts in the community. Prior to arriving at UCI, Christopher received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, during which he was also a Visiting Doctoral Fellow at Yale University’s International Center of Finance. He received his B.S. from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
Seimone Jurjis
- Community Development Director, City of Newport Beach
Seimone Jurjis has spent the last 28 years working in both the private and public sectors. He was selected as the Community Development Director for the City of Newport Beach 2017, having previously served as the City’s Chief Building Official. As Director, he oversees the divisions of Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, Systems Administration, and Real Property. He oversees a department of 60 dedicated and committed employees focusing on serving the community. His department processes and permits over $1.4 Billion annually in real property investments in the City of Newport Beach.
Seimone has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed professional civil engineer, licensed real estate broker, licensed engineering contractor, and certified building official.
