LIDO BOTTLE WORKS NAMED ONE OF THE TOP 100 RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA BY YELP

NEWPORT BEACH Lido Bottle Works–a gem of the Newport Harbor dining scene specializing in locally-sourced cuisine, craft beer and California wines–was named one of the Top 100 Places to Eat in America for 2022 by Yelp this week.

The restaurant and bottle shop, celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, was one of the original restaurant tenants of the redeveloped Lido Marina Village at Via Lido and Newport Boulevard. LBW was listed at No. 58.

The restaurant is only 1 of 4 in California that made it on the list.

“Watch boats sail into the harbor as you dine on unique dishes prepared with local and sustainable ingredients—such as street tacos with house-made tortillas, pork ribs with fennel slaw, or pork belly bao buns,” says Yelp on its Top 100 website. “Don’t miss their huge selection of wines, beers, and cocktails.”

Yelp lauded Executive Chef Joel Gutierrez’s “unique preparations, such as salmon with passion fruit curry, or venison with caramelized sunchoke,” adding that “a popular weekend brunch features Spanish chorizo hash, ceviche with seasonal fish, and dulce de leche monkey bread.”

“It shows that our guests have a great appreciation for what we do,” Executive Chef Joel Gutierrez said. “I want to thank everyone that voted. It’s a huge indication that we have been moving in the right direction as a restaurant.”

Lido Bottle Works recently launched a Sunday Supper Tasting Menu that changes each Sunday evening to showcase the talent in the kitchen. Select wine bottles are 50% off during this time. The restaurant is currently serving its late winter menu, with Spring updates slated to arrive as produce changes at the farmers market.
