Via Lido Plaza Hosts Stars, Stripes & Summer Community Event July 17 & 18
Newport Beach, CA, June 22, 2026 – Via Lido Plaza is hosting Stars, Stripes & Summer, a festive community event on July 17 and 18 from 11am to 3pm both days.
The family friendly event will kick off on Friday, July 17 from 11am to 3pm when shoppers can enjoy in-store promotions and get an early start on filling up their Via Lido Plaza Merchant Passport.
Visitors can pick up a passport on either day at the customer service table next to the new mural at the back of Via Lido Drugs facing West Marine, to be entered to win gift cards and prizes from the stores and restaurants at Via Lido Plaza.
Completed passports turned in by 3pm on Saturday, July 18 will be entered to win prizes including free pizza for a year from Zpizza (two winners); a $250 gift card to Via Lido Drugs, in celebration of the country’s 250th birthday; a gift basket from Crew’s Quarter, valued at $150; a four-pack of Angels tickets (two winners); and an overnight stay at The Lido House. No purchase is necessary, and the winner does not need to be present to win.
On Saturday, July 18 from 11am to 3pm, visitors will enjoy:

* Face painting
* Games & other fun family activities
* A complimentary showing of The Sandlot playing at The Lido Theater
* Meet the Muralist: Local artist Ellen Gladis, who recently finished Via Lido Plaza’s new mural, “The Sabot Regatta” will be on hand to discuss the mural and will have prints and giclées of the art available for purchase
* Taking family photos in front of “The Sabot Regatta”, a beautiful new mural near the back of Via Lido Drugs, facing West Marine
* Filling up their Via Lido Plaza Merchant Passport at restaurants, retailers and services throughout the center. Once the passport is stamped by all merchants, return it to the customer service table by the mural.
