He worked at the fifth busiest fire station in California giving him invaluable experience in a complex and dynamic environment. In 1998, Jeff took a leave of absence to put himself through Paramedic school in Orange County. Jeff started with the Newport Beach Fire Department in February of 2000. During the past 19 years, Jeff has served as a Firefighter, Paramedic, Captain, Arson Investigator, Urban Search and Rescue team member, Battalion Chief, Department Training Chief, Assistant Chief and now as Fire Chief.
Chief Boyles has been highly involved in the Newport Beach and Huntington Beach communities for many years.
