Newport Beach Town Hall - Discussing the Dangers of Fentanyl

Hear Senator Janet Nguyen speak on the dangers of Fentanyl that is spreading into our local Orange County communities. Senator Nguyen has been a prominent voice on this issue and has introduced numerous bills in the California Legislature to combat this deadly crisis. Her mission is to ensure that Newport Beach families are educated on the dangers of Fentanyl, and how to react appropriately in the event of an emergency.

Senator Nguyen will be joined by an exciting lineup of guest speakers including Assemblymember Diane Dixon, OC Sheriff Don Barnes, and Councilmember Joe Stapleton. The Newport Beach Police Department will also be in attendance along with Project Eli Founder Perla Mendoza who will be sharing her nonprofit organization’s mission to raise awareness about the dangers of illicit fentanyl and provide education, resources, and support to those who are affected by the crisis. Through her certification with the State of California, Perla will handout state-provided units to guests who are interested, as well as educate them on how to administer this life-saving drug.
