Bob Stein is the Assistant City Engineer in the City of Newport Beach’s Public Works Department. He has been a practicing civil design engineer in Southern California for 39 years with over a dozen years in the private sector.

His past City projects include:

the 2000-2002 Balboa Village Street Revitalization Project,
the 2012 Buck Gully Canyon Stabilization Project,
the 2017 and 2020 Big Canyon Nature Park Restoration Proejcts,
the 2018 Semeniuk Slough Dredging Project, and
the 2020 Santa Ana-Delhi Channel Regional Trash Facility.

Bob has a PhD in Civil Engineering from UCI and is a resident of Laguna Beach.
