Bob Stein is the Assistant City Engineer in the City of Newport Beach’s Public Works Department. He has been a practicing civil design engineer in Southern California for 39 years with over a dozen years in the private sector.
His past City projects include:
- the 2000-2002 Balboa Village Street Revitalization Project,
- the 2012 Buck Gully Canyon Stabilization Project,
- the 2017 and 2020 Big Canyon Nature Park Restoration Proejcts,
- the 2018 Semeniuk Slough Dredging Project, and
- the 2020 Santa Ana-Delhi Channel Regional Trash Facility.
Bob has a PhD in Civil Engineering from UCI and is a resident of Laguna Beach.
