State of the Orange County Treasury

The Office of the Orange County Treasurer collects and distributes property taxes for over 200 local agencies in Orange County. They provide billing and collection services for multiple county agencies and our technology and streamlined processes minimize agency costs while maximizing agency revenue.

Shari L. Freidenrich, CPA
Orange County Treasurer

Shari Freidenrich was elected as Orange County Treasurer- in 2010 and was re-elected in June 2014. As Orange County Treasurer, Shari is responsible for overseeing a $8 Billion investment portfolio, with about $4 billion of County funds and $4B of school district funds. She is also responsible for collecting all property taxes.

Shari also is a member of the 9 member Orange County Pension Board which manages the $12 Billion Orange County pension plan.

Shari is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California and holds several state and national certifications in public finance and funds management.
