 , Mayor Pro Tem in 2025 and Mayor in 2026 with a commitment to Public Safe
 ty and the goal of preserving the quality of life in Newport Beach.\n\nMay
 or Kleiman is the Vice Chair of the Newport Beach Aviation Committee\, the
  City’s delegate on the  Southern California Association of Governments
  (SCAG)\, the Vice Chair for the Orange County Council of Governments (OCC
 OG)\, and holds a seat on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Tra
 nsportation   Authority (OCTA).\n\nMayor Kleiman has a long history of s
 ervice to the community\, beginning as a member of the Aviation Committee 
 before being appointed to the City’s Planning Commission\, where she ser
 ved for six years.\n\nAs a Founding Board Member of the Newport Beach Foun
 dation\, Mayor Pro Tem Kleiman started a Parent Education Series to help f
 amilies navigate through the difficult issues they are faced with today\, 
 and furthered the organization’s mission to ignite the next generation o
 f leadership in the City\, through their high school scholarship and Disti
 nguished Citizen programs.\n\nMayor Kleiman received her Juris Doctor degr
 ee and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law.  
 She is an attorney and businesswoman who is passionate about giving her ti
 me to better the community.\n\nMayor Kleiman and her husband\, Marc\, fee
 l so fortunate to be raising their son in Corona del Mar.[/vc_column_text]
