 xt]Lieutenant Chris Corn oversees the 40 deputies and 7 sergeants\, who pr
 ovide marine law enforcement\, firefighting\, and rescue services for Oran
 ge County’s three harbors and 43 miles of coastline. Lieutenant Corn is 
 a 24-year veteran of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. He graduate
 d from the Orange County Sheriff’s Academy in 1995.  After graduating\,
  he worked for 6 years in the Central Men’s Jail.  In 2000 he completed
  his patrol training in the City of Lake Forest. In 2002\, he transferred 
 to the Harbor Patrol and in 2008 became the Training Deputy for the bureau
 . Lieutenant Corn was also selected to be a member of the department’s U
 nderwater Search and Recovery Team (Dive Team).\n\nLieutenant Corn was pro
 moted to Sergeant in March of 2011 and was assigned to the Theo Lacy Facil
 ity for a year before transferring to the ICE Program. In June of 2012\, h
 e was selected to be a part of the S.A.F.E Division\, where he supervised 
 the team that created the department’s Personnel History Index (PHI).\n\
 nIn July of 2015\, Lieutenant Corn promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned
  to the Intake and Release Center (IRC) and became one of the facility’s
  Watch Commanders. In 2016\, he was selected to be the Administrative Lieu
 tenant for the division. In 2017\, Lieutenant Corn transferred to the Jame
 s A. Musick Facility and became the Administrative Lieutenant.\n\nIn late 
 2017\, Lieutenant Corn was selected to become the Homeland Security Mutual
  Aid Bureau Lieutenant.  The bureau contained the Joint Terrorism Task Fo
 rce (JTTF)\, Law Enforcement Mutual Aid\, Homeland Security Grants Unit\, 
 and the Mounted Enforcement Unit (MEU). In 2018 Lieutenant Corn transferre
 d to Harbor Patrol to accept the position of Bureau Commander and Harborma
 ster of Orange County. In the course of his career\, he has received the D
 epartment’s Medal for Lifesaving and several other commendations\, inclu
 ding Deputy of the Year twice while assigned to the Harbor Patrol. Lieuten
 ant Corn is also an avid boater in his off duty time.[/vc_column_text][/vc
