  Zaremberg is president and chief executive officer of the California Cham
 ber of Commerce. He took over the top staff position in 1998 after six yea
 rs as executive vice president and head of the California Chamber’s advo
 cacy program. He also served on a number of public policy boards and commi
 ssions geared toward improving the California economy\, and has previously
  served on the boards of the California Children’s Theater and the Calif
 ornia Museum for History\, Women and the Arts.\n\nBefore joining the Calif
 ornia Chamber\, Allan served as chief legislative advisor to and advocate 
 for California Governors Pete Wilson and George Deukmejian. Prior to that\
 , Allan worked in the private practice of law as a Deputy Attorney General
  and as a Captain in the US Air Force.\n\nAllan has a BS in Economics from
  Penn State and a JD from the University of the Pacific.[/vc_column_text][
