 lumn_text]Katrina Foley is a member of the Orange County Board of Supervi
 sors\, representing District 2 in California. She assumed office on March 
 26\, 2021.\n\nKatrina is a consumer attorney and the former Mayor of Costa
  Mesa\, who served on the City Council for 11 years. She previously was a 
 member of the Newport Mesa School Board and served on several local nonpro
 fit boards and commissions.\n\nA proud graduate of Head Start and a Pell G
 rant recipient\, Katrina understands what it is like to grow up in a famil
 y facing financial challenges. As the daughter and wife of union members\,
  Katrina has always stood with California's workers and working families i
 n their efforts to organize and collectively bargain.\n\nIn law school\, K
 atrina established the school's first women's resource center to serve dom
 estic violence victims and chaired the women's law caucus. The small clini
 c is now a well-established\, for credit clinic run by the law school. Kat
 rina was the City of Costa Mesa's first pregnant Planning Commissioner. At
  that time\, she initiated changing tables in the restrooms and a nursing 
 station for employees at a new IKEA development.\n\nKatrina and her husban
 d Casey\, a teacher\, have two sons who attended local public schools.[/vc
