 nner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]Kevin Bass is a 3rd generation Calif
 ornian\; born in Los Angeles and grew up in Yorba Linda\, CA.  Kevin atte
 nded California State University\, Fullerton graduating in 1989.  He majo
 red in History and Geography/Urban Planning\, graduating with two degrees.
   He was hired by the City of Anaheim as a city planner and spent the nex
 t 13 years managing projects\, conducting plan reviews and preparing repor
 ts for the city planning commission and city council.  Kevin then accepte
 d the assistant fire marshal position at the Orange County Fire Authority\
 , where he was responsible for overseeing plan review\, inspection and adm
 inistrative staff members while providing fire prevention services to 23 c
 ities and the unincorporated areas of Orange County.\n\nHe also served as 
 an elected Board Trustee for the Fullerton School District from 2002 to 20
 06.  Kevin worked for OCFA for 16 years before accepting the Fire Marshal
  position for the Newport Beach Fire Department on January 7\, 2019.  He 
 enjoys paddle boarding in Newport Harbor and Back Bay\, watching Anaheim D
 ucks hockey\, training his German Short Hair Pointer\, and hiking the trai
 ls in Orange County.\n\nKevin is honored to serve the City of Newport Beac
 h in maintaining a safe and prosperous community.[/vc_column_text][/vc_col
