  represent the newly established District 5\, which includes the cities of
  Aliso Viejo\, Costa Mesa\, Dana Point\, a large portion of Irvine\, Lagun
 a Beach\, Laguna Hills\, Laguna Niguel\, Laguna Woods\, Newport Beach\, Sa
 n Clemente\, San Juan Capistrano\, as well as the unincorporated areas of 
 Coto de Caza\, Emerald Bay\, Ladera Ranch\, Las Flores\, Rancho Mission Vi
 ejo\, Stonecliffe and Wagon Wheel. This is her second term on the Board of
  Supervisors\, where she previously served District 2.\n\nAs County Superv
 isor\, Supervisor Foley remains committed to reducing homelessness among o
 ur most vulnerable populations\, investing in sustainable infrastructure a
 nd climate resiliency\, protecting our beaches\, parks\, and open spaces\,
  revitalizing the middle class through job creation and support for small 
 businesses\, improving access to County services\, and ensuring safe neigh
 borhoods.\n\nKatrina was previously elected to the position in a special e
 lection in March 2021 to represent the residents of Costa Mesa\, Cypress\,
  Huntington Beach\, La Palma\, Los Alamitos\, Newport Beach\, Seal Beach\,
  Stanton\, the unincorporated area of Rossmoor\, and portions of Buena Par
 k and Fountain Valley. In January 2022\, redistricting adjusted map bounda
 ries and she currently represents Santa Ana and portions of Garden Grove\,
  Tustin\, Orange\, and Anaheim.\n\nFoley\, a successful businesswoman\, co
 mmunity leader\, and attorney\, became the City of Costa Mesa’s first di
 rectly elected Mayor in November 2018 and was re-elected in 2020. She serv
 ed on the Costa Mesa City Council for 14 years\, including serving as Mayo
 r between 2016-2017.\n\nFoley previously served on the Newport Mesa Unifie
 d School District Board of Trustees from November 2010 to November 2014\, 
 with a focus on making local Orange County communities better for families
 .\n\nSupervisor Foley is also President of the Foley Group\, based out of 
 Newport Beach\, California. The Foley Group\, PLC provides services in civ
 il\, business\, and employment litigation. In 2001 and 2004\, Foley was ho
 nored by Women in Leadership and the National Association of Women Busines
 s Owners at the annual “Remarkable Women Awards” event.\n\nA proud gra
 duate of Head Start and a Pell Grant recipient\, Supervisor Foley understa
 nds what it is like to grow up in a family facing financial challenges.[/v
