 ]Jason Al-Imam was selected to serve as the Finance Director and City Trea
 surer for the City of Newport Beach in November 2022. Jason has 19 years o
 f municipal finance experience working in both the private and public sect
 ors.\n\nAs the Finance Director and City Treasurer of the City of Newport 
 Beach\, Jason oversees the City’s $404-million budget\, ensures complian
 ce with finance and investment policies\, manages a staff of 34 full-time 
 employees and works closely with the City Council and Finance Committee. H
 e is also responsible for managing the City’s debts and investment portf
 olio\, accounting and financial reporting\, purchasing\, payroll and long-
 term fiscal planning.\n\nPrior to joining the City\, Jason served in finan
 cial management positions for four full-service cities in Southern Califor
 nia: Fountain Valley\, Los Alamitos\, Riverside and Tustin\, where he most
  recently served as the Finance Director and City Treasurer.\n\nJason has 
 a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Vanguard Univers
 ity of Southern California\, and currently serves on the Board of Director
 s for the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers\, which represe
 nts approximately 2\,500 government finance professionals across the State
  of California.\n\nJason is married with three children and lives in the C
