 eting will feature...\nSeimone Jurjis\nCommunity Development Director\, Ci
 ty of Newport Beach\nSeimone Jurjis was appointed as Community Development
  Director for the City of Newport Beach in August 2017. In his functions\,
  Seimone oversees the divisions of Planning\, Building\, Code Enforcement\
 , Life Safety Services\, and Real Property.   The Community Development 
 Department supports the City Council\, Planning Commission\, Building and 
 Fire Board of Appeals and other subcommittees.  Prior to his appointment 
 to director\, Seimone served as Chief Building Official for the City of Ne
 wport Beach.  Seimone oversee’s a department of 60 staff members made u
 p of full\, part-time\, and contract staff with an annual budget of $12mil
 lion.\n\nDuring Seimone’s tenure as Chief Building Official\, he was suc
 cessful in leading the Building Division in receiving the highest grade po
 ssible from the Insurance Services Office\, Inc. (ISO). On a scale of 1 to
  10\, the ISO rated the City as a “1” for residential\, commercial\, a
 nd industrial properties. ISO considers a grade of 1 as an exemplary commi
 tment to building code enforcement.  The Building Division is also recogn
 ized as being the number one Building Division in California.\n\nSeimone h
 as spent the last 25 years working in both the private and public sectors.
  Prior to joining the City of Newport Beach\, Seimone served as President 
 and Chief Operating Officer for a small real estate company focusing on en
 titlement\, land transaction and development. Previously\, he served as Di
 rector of Planning and Building Safety for the City of El Segundo where he
  also served as City Engineer and Building Official.\n\nSeimone has a Bach
 elor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed professional
  civil engineer\, licensed real estate broker\, and certified building off
 icial.  He is a licensed pilot and engineering contractor.\n\nSeimone gre
 w up in the City of Orange and raised by his parents who he considers as s
 uccessful entrepreneurs.  He lives in the City of Orange with his wife\, 
 Mylene\, and his two children Kaden and Cassandra.[/vc_column_text][/vc_co
