As Airport Director\, he oversees all aspe cts of the day-to-day management of the Airport including Business Develop ment\, Facilities\, Finance &\; Administration\, Operations and Public Affairs. He is responsible for managing a $242.2 million annual budget and a staff of 178 employees.\n\nRondinella’s aviation experience spans mor e than three decades and he has more than twenty-five years of public sect or experience in the airport and transportation industry. He has held incr easingly responsible management positions in transportation and airport op erations with the City of Lompoc\, the Santa Maria Public Airport District \, San Joaquin County\, Sacramento County and most recently the City of Lo s Angeles as the Director of Operations for LAX. He holds a commercial pil ot license and has logged hundreds of hours of high performance\, multi-en gine jet time.\n\nIn 2003\, Rondinella became an Accredited Airport Execut ive as awarded by the American Association of Airport Executives and serve d on its Board of Directors. He is Past President of the South West Chapte r of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE).
