 range County Transportation Authority\, leading an agency of 1\,400 employ
 ees responsible for delivering projects\, programs and services that impro
 ve mobility for more than 3 million county residents.\n\nUnder the directi
 on of OCTA’s 17-member Board of Directors\, Mr. Johnson is responsible f
 or a more than $1.2 billion annual budget\, implementing the planning\, fi
 nancing and coordinating of Orange County's freeway\, street and rail deve
 lopment\, as well as managing countywide bus services\, commuter-rail serv
 ices\, paratransit service and operation of the 91 Express Lanes.\nSince b
 ecoming CEO in 2013\, Mr. Johnson has focused on utilizing innovative fina
 ncing methods to maximize Measure M\, Orange County’s voter-approved hal
 f-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.\n\nBy 2020\, more than $
 3 billion in OCTA projects will be under construction\, including the $1.9
  billion I-405 Improvement Project and 405 Express Lanes\, the largest eve
 r undertaken by the agency\, and the OC Streetcar\, Orange County’s firs
 t modern streetcar.\n\nIn addition\, Mr. Johnson is reinventing Orange Cou
 nty’s transit system by delivering services and programs that improve ef
 ficiency\, enhance the passenger experience and better match market demand
 s. This effort includes an overhaul of the bus system\, adding community-b
 ased transit services\, exploring innovative technology solutions\, privat
 e-sector partnerships\, and piloting on-demand transportation projects.\n\
 nMr. Johnson represents OCTA on local\, state and national policy issues r
 elated to successfully planning\, financing and delivering transportation
