 ewport Beach Chamber of Commerce Marine Committee meets once a month to pr
 ovide information and education on all  topics that are "marine oriented"
 . The meetings are open to the public and will be held at 5pm the 1st Tues
 day of the month at the Marina Park located on Newport Harbor in Newport B
 each.\n\n\n\nThe April 4 Meeting will feature...\n\n 	\n\n\n General Di
 scussion about the Wooden Boat Festival\n\n\nThe 2017 Newport Beach Woode
 n Boat Festival is scheduled for June 10\, 2017 and promises to be the b
 est yet\, with many new boats participating. This year’s event features 
 the 100-foot yacht Electra built in 1929. Also included are rides aboard

 \, was an active youth sailor in the harbor and remains involved actively 
 boating and racing today.\n\nAs a member of BYC\, LaMontagne is the 2016 &
 amp\; 2017 Chairman to Newport’s Wooden Boat Festival held at the Balboa
  Yacht Club.\n\nAfter graduating from USC’s Greif School of Entrepreneur
 ship\, LaMontagne was  founder and CEO of Vessel Assist Association of Am
 erica providing boat owners an Auto-Club type service\, insurance\, etc. f
 or boat owners nationwide\, Canada\, Mexico and Puerto Rico\, eventually s
 elling in 2003 to the nation’s largest boat insurance company BoatUS\, n
 ow owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway as part of their Gieco D
 ivision.\n\nMr. LaMontagne was a volunteer on the board of Newport Harbor 
 Nautical Museum (Explore Ocean/Ocean Quest) when the museum transitioned f
 rom the Ruben E. Lee to its current home at the Fun Zone during which LaMo
 ntagne was the primary lead for the removal of the Ruben E. Lee from Newpo
 rt Harbor.\n\nMr. LaMontagne received his first USCG Operator’s license 
 at the age of 18 and is a Staff Commodore of the Balboa Island Yacht Club.
 \n\nMr LaMontagne is currently a principle at Venture Group which provides
  business consulting services as well as asset management services primari
