 arpet for the 7th Annual Getzlaf Golf Shootout MVP Party on Friday\, Septe
 mber 8 at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds of the event will benefit CureDuchenne\, a Ne
 wport Beach nonprofit dedicated to saving the lives of children with Duche
 nne muscular dystrophy.\n\nThe MVP Party will kick off the Shootout festiv
 ities at Time Nightclub in Costa Mesa. Emceed by Ducks Announcer Brian Hay
 ward and hosted by Getzlaf and his wife\, Paige\, the Getzlaf Golf Shootou
 t\, presented by Active PDF\, is a high-energy charity event that brings t
 ogether athletes\, celebrities and community leaders teaming up in support
  of CureDuchenne. Walk the red carpet and meet and mingle with your favori
 te Anaheim Ducks players and bid vigorously on auction lots including a Ro
 lex from Bob’s Watches\, a Costa Rica Surf Excursion\, Private Golf Day 
 with Ryan Getzlaf and more. Dinner and hosted bar are included with entry.
  Guests must be 21 or over. Special rates are available for Ducks Season T
 icket Holders and members of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.\n\nThe
  Shootout’s SOLD OUT golf event will be held Saturday\, September 9 at M
 onarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point\, with registration starting at 9:00
  a.m. Current and former Anaheim Ducks teammates\, coaches and other celeb
 rities will join in the fun as 5th players that will accompany each fourso
 me to help raise additional funds to save the lives of children with Duche
 nne.\n\nPast celebrity participants include Corey Perry\, Teemu Selanne\, 
 Ryan Kesler\, Andrew Cogliano\, John Gibson\, Chuck Finley\, Cam Fowler\, 
 Sami Vatanen\, Frederik Andersen\, Scott Neidermayer\, Clayton Stoner and 
 TV’s Brian Van Holt.\n\n“The annual shootout reminds me how important 
 it is to fight for what you believe in beyond the ice\,” said Ryan Getzl
 af. “It overwhelms me the amount of support we receive each year. Every 
 registration\, donation and sponsorship makes a difference in saving the l
 ives of children with Duchenne\, and I couldn’t be more thankful to be a
  part of it. Together we can all help find a cure.”\n\nAt the tournament
 \, golfers can participate in hole-in-one challenges for exotic cars provi
 ded by CNC Motors\, massages by Hit the Spot Massage\, Anaheim Ducks Power
  Players with t-shirt launchers\, a hand rolled cigar station\, giveaways 
 from Violent Gentlemen Hockey Club and TravisMathew. Fantastic local resta
 urants and brands will be offering their specialties throughout the course

 CureDuchenne is a nonprofit that raises awareness and funds research to fi
 nd a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.\n\nDuchenne is a devastating fa
 tal muscle disease that impacts one in every 3\,500 boys. Duchenne patient
 s are usually diagnosed at age 5\, lose their ability to walk by 12 and mo
 st don’t survive their mid-20s. Currently there is no cure for Duchenne.
