 09th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade\, hosted by the Commodores Club o
 f the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.\n\nThe Event\nAs Newport Beach’
 s Christmas Card to the world\, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade wi
 ll set the harbor ablaze for five consecutive nights\, beginning Wednesday
 \, December 13 and ending Sunday\, December 17\, 2017. The parade starts o
 ff Bay Island at 6:30 pm and finishes at the same site at approximately 9:
 00 pm each evening.\nAs the 109th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade move
 s its way through the Newport Harbor this December\, the Newport Beach Chr
 istmas Boat Parade Committee\, with the leadership of The Commodores Club 
 of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce\, announces its new parade starti
 ng and ending point at Tip of Lido Isle.\n\nParade participants will start
  from the east end of Lido Island following the celebrated route\, with th
 e first public viewing destination now at the new 10.5-acre Marina Park. T
 he community park offers 177 parking spaces\, nautical-themed playground\,
  picnic area and sailing center\, and is also the largest public viewing a
 rea along the parade route\, creating an optimal location to gather and en
 joy the festivities.\n\nResidents and visitors will have optimal viewing o
 f the beautifully decorated yachts\, boats\, kayaks and canoes sail in the
  parade from the Dine &amp\; Watch waterfront and Dine &amp\; Walk dining 
 options within walking distance of the many public viewing spots. The new 
 start and end location will adjust previous pass-by times along the parade
  route.\n\nPlease reference the site map (found at the link below) with ti
 mes the parade passes various destination points.\nBeautiful multi-million
  dollar yachts\, kayaks\, canoes and other small boats will light up the h
 arbor as a dazzling array of holiday lights and music fill the air at the 
 Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Many of the boats will be richly deco
 rated with animated Christmas scenes accompanied by music and costumed car
 olers. Some boat owners in the past have spent over $50\,000 to decorate t
 heir vessels for the event. The Christmas floats will wind their way some 
 14 miles around the harbor to give viewers in restaurants\, yacht clubs\, 
 on public beaches\, and in private homes an incredible sight that has deli
 ghted millions of people for a century.\nThe Newport Beach Christmas Boat 
 Parade\, which has been hailed as “one of the top ten holiday happenings
  in the nation” by the New York Times\, is truly a magical holiday tradi
 tion for all ages. The parade continues to be a premier event during the h
