Committee Information

Members are encouraged to join one of the Chamber's committees give us your input and develop relationships with other members at the same time. Many business relationships start as social friendships first, and volunteering for a committee gives you the opportunity to develop valuable long-term business relationships.

Standing Committee Meetings - Chamber office - Monthly

Ambassadors Committee
1st Friday - 7:30 am

Ambassadors are the welcoming arm of the Chamber and are the first to meet new members and welcome attendees to Chamber events.

Education Committee
2nd Thursday - 7:30 am

In partnership with our local school system, this committee strengthens the connection between business and education through programs such as Mentor for a Day and Ensign Character Awards.

Government Affairs Committee
2nd Tuesday - 7:30 am

Establishes and maintains effective lines of communication with local and state government, advocates the business point of view, and analyzes various legislative issues and candidate endorsements.

Membership Council
1st Tuesday - 4:30 pm

Works to expand the membership base, improve retention and increase the activity and involvement level of Chamber members.

Commodores Council
Elected Group

Through hosting special events and programs, this elected group of business professionals provides leadership, organization and fundraising support to promote the overall mission of the Chamber.

Marine Committee
3rd Tuesday @ 7:30 a.m., Location Varies

Promotes marine business-to-business and business-to-community relationships through networking and educational events, and monitors the activities and issues related to the Newport Harbor.

Communications Committee
Ad hoc

Provides guidance on Chamber communication policies and procedures, and serves as a resource for staff on various communication efforts. (Meetings called as needed.)
